About R&D Division
The R&D Division dated back to the 1960s. It was first established under the Public Works Department, and in 1986 it became the R&D Division of the Road Development Authority (RDA) and is continuing to date.
Soil Laboratory is capable of doing most of the soil testings which are required for road construction designing and quality control works.
Photometric & Visibility laboratory provides necessary testing required in assessing the road marking, sign boards and road studs for the road construction purpose.
Bitumen Laboratory is well equipped with the latest technology to provide testing facilities to the road construction industry.
Concrete laboratory provides necessary testing required in assessing the quality of cement, concrete and aggregate for the construction purpose
